Flappy Bird is a mobile game that was released in 2013 by Vietnamese developer Dong Nguyen. It quickly gained widespread popularity due to its addictive gameplay and simple mechanics, but also drew controversy and attention for its difficulty and frustration factor.
In the arcade game Flappy Bird, clients take control of a very small bird and guide it through a sequence of pipes with gaps in them. The goal is to get through the gaps without running into the pipes or the ground, which calls for feed careful planning and timing is everything. The object of the game is to get the highest score possible by earning points for each gap that can be completed effectively through.
